Myrtle Tyler Faithful Fund

Myrtle Tyler Faithful Fund, Inc. 501(c)3 is an organization with a mission to commit to scholarship, community empowerment, intentional scholastic development, intergenerational programming and service.  It is our vision to implement sustainable programs and foster revenue streams that improve access across Baltimore City to education, opportunity, and lifesaving services. We uphold our guiding principles to maintain communication in leadership in order to intentionally foster transparency between board leadership, board trustees, Alpha Zeta membership and fund contributors. We are at the forefront of partnership and to be trusted as a vital partner throughout the community. Additionally, we intentionally engage with our community to cultivate a culture of openness, adaptability, “can- do” sensibility, and deep contributor engagement.

Scholarship

From 1996 through 2019 MTFF has awarded scholarships totaling more than $120,000 to college bound high school seniors for their educational pursuits. Each student must achieve a 3.0 cumulative grade point average to qualify for the award. This one-year, merit-based scholarship is intended to assist with qualified educational expenses at the recipient’s chosen collegiate institution. 2024 Scholarship

Eligibility:

  • A resident of Baltimore City

  • Attend a Baltimore City High School with a 3.0 GPA

  • Female high school senior graduating in 2024

  • Plan to enter an accredited four-year university or college as a full-time freshman in the fall of 2024

The winner or winners of the scholarship and their parent or guardian will be contacted regarding recognition for their accomplishment.
