Once upon a time, there were five phenomenal Zeta women from Morgan College, Sorors Iradelle Bond Williams, Nellie A. Buchanan, Florence Purviance, Ethel Thompson, and Jeanette Johnson Moore (Laws), who understood the importance of continuing our promotion of Scholarship, Community Service, Sisterly Love, and Finer Womanhood beyond the college campus. Their efforts established, Alpha Zeta Chapter, the first graduate chapter of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority Inc. on November 16, 1923.
